Between 2020 and 2025 I have been working on a series of iPhone photographs of my body.

Coinciding with the onset of Covid, these photographs began as an exploration of the body in isolation but quickly developed into a series of minimal images in which I became interested in how far a body could be abstracted before any reference to it was lost.
In particular I was interested in the relationship between two forms that consistently asserted themselves in my images.

As I developed the work I started introducing foreign elements like hair or twigs in order to introduce an element of tension into the work.
