This series of photographs was made during my year long residency at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney.
Photographs I made of seaweeds from the Garden’s Herbarium collection have been superimposed over images of the body as well as broken fragments of old statuary, playing on visual parallels between algal structures and blood vessels in the human body, referencing our common ancestry and reminding us of the ancient lineage that connects us to all living things.
